Why July was decisive

If you only have 30 seconds, here's what you need to know about this chapter.

  • Atlas became guidu: it's not just a new name, it's a shift in how the product supports career decisions.
  • The team gained clear owners for each area, and the product became a daily habit shaped like a game.
  • A key direction was set: a native app (iOS/Android), moving to proprietary technology, with a leaner operation.
  • The MVP now has a November target date. Next chapter: launch visual identity and marketing.
Word from the CEO

In full, from Izza

"Hi everyone, this is Izza Simões. I've spent 15 years building startups where creativity meets technology, and that's the experience I'm now bringing to lead this project as CEO.

I want to share a new chapter with you, and it starts with a change of identity: Atlas is now Guidu, your career guide.

It's not just a new name. New leadership, a sharper read on the market, and a clearer proposition, built on market intelligence, technology, innovation, and creativity.

Everything we've learned so far stays with us, nothing is lost. What changes is the direction, and the ambition behind it.

July was an intense month, so let me walk you through what we built.

First, team and structure. We reorganized so every area now has a squad, and that changes how fast we can move.

Second, the product. Think of Duolingo, but for careers. Choosing a profession is one of the hardest decisions in life, and we want to guide people through it, starting with our test and match experience, then unlocking small everyday scenes from that career, with microlearning that helps you really understand the day-to-day. And we don't stop there: once someone starts their journey, we keep following it, suggesting the skills to keep growing. Users can talk to Guidu, join groups, and stay motivated together, because this is a phase of life where people often feel alone, and we want to be the companion on that journey. It all connects to our business model, freemium, with monthly subscriptions: a free layer to discover, and paid tiers that unlock the full experience, certificates, and the bridge to real companies, including a family plan.

Third, and this one matters. We want people to carry Guidu in their pocket. So we made the call to build a native app, for both iOS and Android, the right format for a daily habit.

Fourth, we're getting there with our own technology, a leaner operation, and a lower cost.

We also locked the MVP for November, with an initial portfolio of careers backed by real market research.

Our next milestone is delivering the new visual identity and go-to-market strategy for the November launch. I'm counting on all of you for this next stretch, there's a lot of good things coming."
